I don't want to start a long discussion but are we definately going to follow the 3.1 rules now expecting that all other teams we are bound to bout with will follow them aswell. Then we have the option of playing alternative regs as we wish in agreement at the time with the girls we bout?

Just a question!

I personally don't like the "natural conclusion" rule - that is:

- periods end when the last jam reaches its natural conclusion, so that a jam may continue after the period clock has expired.

How does everyone else feel about this rule before Vee approaches the SVRG? Please discuss!

So the natural conclusion would mean the last jam isn't cut off by the game timer? So would it just mean that if the game had to it would run to the full 2 minutes or would it mean that the last jam could go as long as it wanted?

not sure which it will mean still - either it runs for the 2 mins or can even go over the 2 mins if need be?
I don't know it will be able to run over the 2 minutes, that would be breech of the other jam rules

It depends of the nature of the jam:
if you are going for the 2mins(no lead jammer for example),you have to do the 2mins-if it's a normal jam,you can't stop it until the lead jammer say so....i do like it!it will let the girls enough time to score points-sometimes the last jam is not long enough for the girls to do so....

I'm not sure about this natural conclusion thing. Funny though that it's mostly refs and statkeepers who are giving good feedback! A game should end when the scoreboard runs out of time methinks. Also, there seems to be a concern now that there will be final jam horror stories - those jammers are gonna be murdered by blockers who don't actually care if they get ejected at that point! I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens when teams start bouting under these rules ...

I guess it stops the whole 'line everyone up for a pointless 30 second jam'
However, my first detriot game I ever went to was a nail biting tied game, 45 seconds left on the clock, can she make it through the pack and score or will they go into over time? I was on the edge of my seat and....SHE SCORED A POINT!!!!! I think it was Honey Suckit jammin.. Most exciting thing I ever saw, its sad to think thats gone.
But thats the only time I ever saw it. I dunno, I kinda like the rule personally. but maybe I'll like it less when we're winnging by a point and the other team scored in an extended jam ahaha.
