Dear All, As some of you know I run craft events as part of Craft Guerrilla and have my own business teaching knitting, crochet and fascinator workshops as "Handmade by Lisa Margreet".

Craft Guerrilla put on DIY Craft nights and "crafternoons" in various pubs around London and sometimes even nationwide! We provide craft kits, tutors and DJs, the pubs provide booze and sometimes food and the public craft and enjoy! I've been promising to put up some info on our events for a while now and have finally got round to it.

Craft Guerrilla are very excited to be back with our original DIY Craft Night: Put the Needle On the Record in our home of Walthamstow E17. We are launching TONIGHT Thursday 8th October at the Rose and Crown pub on Hoe Street at 8PM.

As usual it is FREE ENTRY with craft kits for sale and tutors on hand to help you. You can also bring your own projects to work on and we'll even help you with those if you like. (That's HELP you, not knit it for you, sorry.)

As a special twist, as October is the Breakthrough for Breast Cancer charity's "Think Pink" Awareness month we've made some LIMITED EDITION PINK KITS. One pound from each of the pink kits will be donated to the Breakthrough for Breast Cancer appeal. The kits will be on sale TONIGHT at the Rose and Crown and also on our CRAFTERNOON this Saturday 12th October at the Old Queen's Head 2-5PM (details below).

BUT THAT IS NOT ALL!

In the spirit of thrift and handmade love, if you’re thinking about making your own Christmas presents this year then Craft Guerrilla can help YOU! We’re dedicating all of our DIY Craft Events for the rest of the year to helping you to achieve that goal.

We will be selling our exclusive craft kits so you can buy and make and give the resulting item as a gift – and they all only cost around £5. The craft kits themselves also make great presents if you know crafty people to give them to - plus that saves you some of the work!

If you’ve already got the grand plan of presents worked out (knitted scarf for Granny, crochet mittens for Mum, felt doggie-coat for Rover etc) but you’re just trying to find the time to get working on them, then our events are perfect for you as well. Put them in your diary now and you can guarantee at least 20 hours dedicated craft time. (I did the maths!) What bliss.

Of course, you will also have the enormous benefit of having the Craft Guerrilla tutors on-hand to help with your projects, to answer any crafty questions you have or just to pick up those dropped stitches for you!

Nooooooooo I missed yesterday! A few of the girls and me were talking on this subject recently. And all did yesterday was sit at home and stuff my face with all my craft stuff sitting unused in the corner. BOO. Not sure about Saturday as in South London but for def in November. Is in ym diary now See you there!

Btw if anyone was thinking of coming to the Make Lounge event in November this is the only one that you have to pay entry for - £5 per ticket and they sell out FAST! I think the info will be going up and tickets on sale from the Make Lounge website in the next week or so www.themakelounge.com. All our other events are non-ticketed and free entry though.

We're also teaming up with Mrs Bear's Swap Shop for our November Crafternoon in Islington so you can do some crafty clothes swapping as well as craft-making. You can sort out your Christmas party outfits at the same time as buying and/or making your presents. Genius idea - even if I do say so myself! www.mrsbears.co.uk
