I thought this belonged in the 'greatest hits' because this was by far the greatest injury ever, and is very sad.
Tequila Mockingbird plyed for the Windy City Rollers when she seriously injured her spinal cord in a bout (please don't let this put you off derby, this is a rare very unfourtunate accident). She now is in a wheelchair and has to go through costly medical procedures, physio, etc. Health care in america is NOT free or cheap.

How does the league feel about making a little merch kit for the raffle if we have any shirts avalable, some pins and some stickers.

I think its a great idea. I've got tons of pretty red ribbons and stuff we could use to dress up the git basket.

Yeah, definitely! We could put together a tshirt, badges, tote bag and stickers and one of our girls could pass it on to Ivanna at RollerCon. Can the Merch committee organise please?

Hey guys, just to say that me and Missy got stuff together for this the night before we went to Vegas so it was only little BUUUUUT the greatest thing, it was raffled off at the Welcome Buffet alongside the big prizes (limited edition prints from the guys who started derby in the 50's etc) which was awesome. In typical LRR style we were deep in conversation with someone and missed our name read out (;)) but the BBDD girls yelled and screamed for us all... and then came and slapped our heads for being dumb
Therefore, there might even be footage of our prize being presented as it was just after Ivanna etc had given a speech !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
