Hi all, I was looking online today and found a printable version of the rules test - http://www.proprofs.com/quiz-school/qui ... rules-test

If it would help, I could print this out for next sunday (rather than you having to type it up Robi). How many would we need?
xx

Hi Cat, don't worry I didn't have to retype it in the end, and it's now on a single double sided page (and printed already for everyone)...thanks though, xxx

So just to be on the safe side, the new rules test is this Sunday (11 Oct) at 3pm in Haverstock yes?

I'm genuinely annoyed I missed the rules test, I was revising on the tube home everyday last week! While everyone has the rules fresh in their minds, could some one clarify for me what the difference is between "cutting the track" and "skating out of bounds"?

Thanks! x x x

Maybe I should move this post to "rules"...

cutting the track is when you cut in front of one or more people who were in front of you when you go out of bounds as you come onto the track from out of bounds. and skating out of bounds is just that, skating around the outside or inside of the track outside of the track perimitters...i think...

Skating out of bounds is called if you accelerate or pick up speed out of bounds. So you'll prob be ok if you're hit out of bounds, go a meter or two, and cut back in (not in front of anyone, which is cutting the track) but if you took some strokes, ie gained speed, while out of bounds, then you would be called for skating out of bounds.
You can also be penalised for assisting out of bounds, and of course blocking out of bounds.
If you go to the inside of the track you better be more careful, because if you cut short your lap distance, you will be called for skating out of bounds.
I suppose it is a bit confusing ^,^
